Mixed media. From a series called "Summer Reflections". Completed during the summers of 2005 & 2006. Artist's statement: "When I construct a piece, I try to create a feeling of dimension and space so that the viewer can travel into the collage. Nature greatly affects me and I incorporate the natural world in my work. Sometimes compositions mimic landscapes or land formations. I have started using very bright colors ...and some of the papers I use have their own mysterious histories. I like to share my curiousness with the viewer and hope that people wonder about the hidden stories too. The overall sense I was to portray is one of peace, space and curiosity.
