Description

The winning bidder will receive one 3-week session of Afternoon Sports Camp for your child and a friend at the Head-Royce Summer Program for rising 6th-8th graders. Created and directed by HRS Athletic Director Brendan Blakeley, our Sports Camp is a dynamic and fun choice for rising 6th-8th graders who want variety, choice, and great leadership. Camp participants will engage in a number of athletic activities throughout the course of the afternoon. Every Monday to start the week, participants choose from a selection of “activity blocks”, each of which contains a sequence of three activities. The activities are purposefully grouped so that each day participants experience a range of activities that vary in several key areas: competitiveness; individual and team events; events requiring higher and lower energy; traditional and less traditional.

Activities may include basketball, team handball, softball, table tennis, volleyball, dodgeball, ultimate frisbee, lacrosse, pickleball, soccer, flag football, floor hockey, archery, and more. Each student chooses a new block weekly. Thursday waterslides are optional. 12:45 – 3:45 PM.
