Description

5th graders studied several different ways to render an object this year, from intricately detailed contour line drawing to bold value drawing in pencil to the more abstract and intensely colored oil pastels of Georgia O’Keeffe.  In their auction assignment, students created several versions of flowers in different styles.  They were directed to create an abstract work, a realistic work, and something in their own style.  Examples of their best works are set in three collage frames, creating bold studies in technique and composition.  The results are stunning!  (21” x 21”)
