Every so often, we hear of an idea that is just so good that we think everyone should know about it. 

 

Nora Sanchez, mother of a person who receives services at Alta Mira, hit upon a great idea while trying to find a way to keep her son warm and dry in cold winter months.  And, because her son, like all young men his age, is very concerned with his appearance, a blanket simply would not do.  So, she hit the sketch pad and came up with an attractive hooded design that fits over the person and over the wheelchair.  "It had to be easy to put on and take off, or it just wouldn't work," says Sanchez.  From that idea a full-fledged business was born.  Sanchez now manufactures the capes which are made from a weather resistant and oh-so-cozy fleece material.  Pricing varies depending on the type of fabric and other details.
