Santa Fe-based painter and sculptor Carolyn Gentry offers an original portrait of your child or grandchild in pencil or conte.    She will work from a photo, creating an original piece of art you will treasure forever.  Your 10x12 piece is done on tone paper and professionally framed.  You may also have your artwork upgraded to oil, or have additional people or pets included (as in the example above) at an additional cost, to be negotiated with the artist.  

Carolyn is accomplished in several artistic mediums:  of her oils and pastels, she is renowned for the bright clear colors and artistically interpretive renderings, whether a landscape subject or a luminous portrait (for which she has developed a devoted following); and of her bronze sculpture, the subjects are realistically captured in evoking composition of beautiful reflection for eternity. 

Carolyn has studied at several prestigious art institutions and had many one-woman and group shows in galleries and museums.  Her paintings and sculptures are in numerous collections, and she has filled many commissions for portraits.   

She has two studios, one in Santa Fe, NM, and the other in Houston, TX.
