Description

Learning Potential

Lovingly illuminated by Vermont artist Cynthia DeKett, this circa early 1900s oak Milton Bradley kindergarten desk features over forty Prismacolor portraits, representing some of the greatest creative and philosophical minds, athletes and adventurers of all time.  The desk top, rendered in #2 school pencil, depicts the history of flight while the underside incorporates the stamped Milton Bradley logo into an original board game created by the artist.  Open the lid and the desk’s interior reflects the joy of discovery.  Over sixty inspirational quotes complete the artist’s statement.   An educational conversation piece and inspiration to all who experience it, this museum-quality work has been exhibited at the St. Johnsbury Athenaeum, and is currently available for viewing at the Good Shepherd School.
