Description
One gallon of Grade A, pure Maple Syrup. Vermonters know spring is on the way when nights are still cold but the daytime sun is warm. Sap is running, and sugarhouses all over the state start boiling. It takes 40 gallons of sap to make 1 gallon of syrup, and the cooking is tended 24 hours a day. Of course, some of the syrup gets shared with local children, who love to make local versions of 'snow cones' - it's just called 'sugar on snow.'
