Description

During the 1850's, an innovative quilter designed the first Log Cabin quilt.  It gained popularity among quilters who not only shared the pattern, but designed their own variations.  Among these was the court house steps.  If the log cabin stood for warmth and stability of hearth and home, the court house steps stood for country and democracy.  Created in country reds and tans, this traditional quilt has a charming, primitive flair, and will be treasured for generations to come!
