Description
Retired DOVE Chocolate Marketing Director Eileen Brown will come to your home and present a chocolate tasting party for you and up to 9 of your closest friends.
Whether your tastes run to Hershey Bars or single-origin chocolates, you'll learn why there is no 'bad' chocolate. Just as with wine, personal taste is paramount.
By the end of this approximately 1.5 - 2 hour event, you and your guests will understand the different types of chocolates, why higher cacao content isn't always better, the impact different sources of beans can have, and just why it's important for chocolate to be tempered (we never want our chocolate, or our friends, to be in a bad temper!)
You will experiment with making different types of chocolates, and all have something to take home. Or at least take out to your cars. What happens after that is beyond our control.
Special Instructions
Please, the winning bidder should live within 35 miles of zip code 03771 (Monroe, NH.) Bidder supplies 'dippables' for the party, alcohol, and chocoholic friends. Eileen will supply 'tasting' chocolates and supplies for making actual chocolates, as well as tempering equipment to be used for the evening.
Please plan to agree a date with Eileen approximately 8 weeks prior to the event. Many of the chocolates we will taste are not available locally and will have to be special ordered.
