At Bein Performance Horses we take great pride in our lesson program. Students in our program take a hands on approach to horsemanship. Each lesson starts in an orderly fashion; students come to the barn, look at the lesson board to see what horse they will ride (as well as the equipment they will use). Students learn to ride utilizing excellent horses, equipment, & instructors. Each horse is selected based on its past performance history (training & show record), soundness, personality, & ability to recognize the skill level (or lack of) for each rider. Many of our lesson horses have competed at the national level.

Students all begin their riding career bareback to learn balance. Once the rider has established their seat, they move to a hunt saddle for a number of lessons. At this time they begin riding western. Once they have fully benefited from those disciples, we encourage our riders to try Saddle Seat, Sidesaddle, Show Hack, Reining, Trail, Showmanship, etc. Beginner lessons are all given in a one on one, private atmosphere. Once riders are at the intermediate level, they are eligible for Seminar (group Equitation lessons) which are held on Saturdays.

Jessica Bein is a level 2 ARIA certified instructor for Saddleseat and Reining.

Beginner riders usually start riding on Via. Via is an Arabian mare who has been a member of Bein Performance for a number of years, first as a show horse, then as a brood mare, and now as the worlds best lesson horse!

For riders wishing to try riding Saddle Seat, Show Hack, or Native Costume, SS Carolina Kid is the one to try! "Kari" is a Regional Champion Halter & Saddle Seat Eq horse, as well as a US National Top Ten Driving horse. She is a seasonal lesson horse, as she is also a seragate mare who has taken on several orphan foals.  She still loves to get out and trot, so be prepared!  She is a show horse at heart!

In an effort to create an atmosphere for success, we have gone the extra mile to compile the best lesson horses we can find. We spare no expense when it comes to finding the right mount for our students to learn on. Three of our best lesson horses are Tsparklen Jewel, Im Destinees Hobby, and Saul.  You will see pictures of Destinee throughout the site as she is also a very successful show horse, having won 10 National championships in trail & reining! Destinee is a favorite in the lesson program because she is very smooth. Destinee was bred to TA Khalil this year, but the embryo went to a recipient mare. Look for her foal next year!

Pictured below doing a bridless spin with, LeighAnn Langley, Jewel was brought on board for students to use a reining lesson horse, but don't let that fool you! She can also be seen in hunter & walk trot lessons! Jewel also has another job at Bein Performance Horses; BROODMARE! We currently have two foals (2007 by Black N Style and a 2009 by TA Khalil) out of her and one more on the way (In foal to Muscam for 2010)! She is a great sport about letting students earn about breeding, foaling, ect...

Saul is an outstanding Half Arabian Gelding who has been National Champion open reining, Reining Seat Equitation, as well as National top ten Hunt Seat Equitation, and Horsemanship!  After a career ending injury, Bein Performance Horses purchased him as a lesson horse and added trail to his resume!  He has already been regional champion, in addition to keeping up his duties teaching at home!

Skeets Shiner is our youngest lesson horse. After a successful Futurity year of  showing, we decided to put her to work, fulfilling her destiny at a broodmare.  She is currently in foal Easy Otie Whiz, and will continue doing  lessons  through the end of this year.  She is a HUGE turner and a blast to ride!

Finally, we have two ponies.  Toasty is used only for driving lessons, as he is a miniature. He is great for building confidence in timid riders. Our second pony is PeeWee.  He was brought to the program early this year, and is currently in  training to become a lesson horse.  He is very patient and kind, but  still must learn brought to the level which is expected form  our lesson  horses!

We have several  other lesson  horses that  are  constantly coming  in  and out of the  lesson  program.  Please feel  free to stop by  and  visit!

Jessica was born and raised in the show horse industry. She navigated through a successful Youth career under the tutelage of her Mother, Tamara Tozer-Wald, as well as many other leading trainers.

Shortly after concluding her Youth career, Jessica and her husband David Bein, moved to Arizona to further both their educations.

In January 1998, Bein Performance Horses was established with the vision of success that we see today.

Bein Performance Horses is a full service program, successfully taking horse, and rider (regardless of experience or age) from their first step to achieving there dreams.

Our success is evident in multiple areas from Reining to Hunter, Walk/Trot to Showmanship, at the Regional and National Level.

What makes our program unique, is that we only accept a limited amount of horses and riders, carefully guiding them through all aspects of Horsemanship, allowing each rider to experience all disciplines, and encouraging them to choose there own destination in our industry.
