Trip To Farnley Farm, White Post, Virginia

Item Number: 321
Time Left: CLOSED

Description
Enjoy two days and one night at Farnley Farm in White Post, VA. This historic 600 acre farm is registered on the National Register of Historic Places with its main residence dating from 1830's. Located in the Shenandoah Valley, the farm has produced horses, ponies and cattle for the same family since the 1930s. We will host your party of up to SIX (up to four bedrooms) for two days in our home, which is at the back of the main residence. Enjoy the views and pick your other activities: relaxing under the trees, touring the farm, teaching foals to be handled, and riding out in the countryside. We are expecting 15 foals this spring! Lunch and dinner on the first day and breakfast and lunch on the second day are included. Other local activities (on our own) can include inner-tubing on the nearby Shenandoah, antiquing, and visiting Luray Caverns. Lilia Sharp (K) and Brennan Sharp (2nd grade) and their responsible parents would be happy to look after children if grown-ups would like to eat out at nearby L’Auberge Provencale or other parents-night-out destination. We will tailor the visit according to the ages and interests of successful bidder’s group. (Riding is assured for interested children; for adults it is subject to availability of suitable horses.)
Farmley Farm is approx. one and a half hours west of Washington DC on Rte 66 to Front Royal or Rte 50 through the historic towns of Middleburg and Upperville, VA. (The house is pictured in the photograph to the left.)
