My claywork reflects what I like to look at, the things I like to touch and hold and keep around me, and the emotions that I feel.  The shapes and colors, textures and forms constantly evolve, which reflects my life and work’s commitment toward exploration and growth.  My love of the outdoors, gardening, flowers and fruits, sea and mountains are expressed organically in each piece.

By choice I make primarily functional work.  The functional structure gives me a framework within to work, but still leaves wide open all the possibilities of individual interpretation.  I find pleasure in the thought that a product of my hands and my imagination will live with a new owner, and bring a touch of something special to the morning’s coffee, or the evening’s meal.

Each piece has been fired to temperatures in excess of 2000 degrees, rendering it highly durable for your everyday use.  The work has been tested for use in oven, microwave and dishwasher, all of which are safe, provided each piece is allowed to pre-heat with the oven, and all sudden temperature changes are avoided.*
