Harvest Moon is a small, family-driven winery nestled in the Russian River Valley that focuses primarily on California’s own Zinfandel.  The Pitts family has grown grapes in the Russian River Valley since 1977.  In 2000, son Randy assumed the farming responsibilities at the family ranch, and in 2001, he made a barrel of homemade Zinfandel from the ranch that turned out extremely well.  With that rich, fruit-driven homemade Zinfandel lingering on their palates, the proprietors knew they had something special growing in their backyard.  While the Estate Zinfandel is the centerpiece of the label, Randy also handcrafts a limited production Estate Gewurztraminer and Pinot Noir. 

From their initial amateur adventure, the farmers-turned-winemakers looked toward a promising future.  With almost 30 years of wine country hospitality experience in tow, the Pitts family is bringing a refreshing vision to the wine country.
