While traveling to New Zealand this winter, my mother picked up this fun "Funky Tea Cosy" pattern. It has a fun ribbed pattern with "dreadlocks" on top; these are pieces that naturally curl around like little pigs tails. This is for a 4 cup tea pot. It will stretch to fit a 6 cup tea pot, but will be a little short at the bottom. There is an opening at the top for the knob of the lid.

This is knit out of Crystal Palace Mini Mochi Yarn in Tropic Ginger 113. This variegated yarn is 80% Merino Wool and 20% Nylon and has lovely tones of ochre, rust, rosy lavender, aqua and sage green. It is machine washable on gentle cycle in cool water with mild soap. It is best to use a mesh lingerie bag or pillowcase when laundering. Dry flat. Hand washing is also nice too.
