Description
Bid on a beautiful, handcrafted large, "Tree of Life" leather journal by Oberon Designs. Size: 6" x 9". Color: saddle. The pewter button is oval with 2 leaves and an acorn detail.
Oberon Journals:
Each of our bench crafted journals is made to order. Our refillable journals are constructed from premium, domestic bullhide and paired with a decorative pewter button hand cast in our shop.
Our leather cover slides over a hard bound, smythe sewn, blank book insert with acid free, heavy bond paper pages.
All of our journals come supplied with a hardbound blank, unlined book insert. However, they contain a removable sheet of paper with bold lines to aid with straight line writing. Simply put the template sheet behind the page you are writing on and the lines show through. Our purpose in offering an unlined insert is that it facilitates a multi use aspect to our book filler that would be inhibited by lines, ie, sketching & drawing, diagrams and scrapbooking.
Oberon Image Story:
Rooted deep in the valley floor, roots drinking clean river water, a solitary oak endures for 400 years. Generations of birds, small creatures and insects have occupied its branches and nested within it, its canopy safe haven for deer and fox. Tribes, villages and towns have orbited its sphere through years of changing seasons. The searing cry of the hawk and children’s hands at play, gatherers and cultivators, harsh and fair weather, starry nights and the near miss of axe and saw, making up the history of its days.

This is an excellent quality journal and just beautiful. You will not be disappointed with the quality of the workmanship. You almost cannot appreciate it just from the photos!
Pick up/shipping information: At auction close, item will be available for pick up in Sebastopol, CA or mailed at the winning bidder's expense. Mailing/shipping insurance is optional. Winning bidder is responsible for all fees and billed at standard industry rates.
