You are bidding on a Quan Yin statue. This beauttiful piece is a hand carved, wooden figure that was made in Indonesia, it is 14 inches tall and gently used.


Quan Yin is "one who hears the cries of the world" and personifies the compassion of the Buddha for the needy.


Note: Also spelled as Kwan Yin, Guan Yin, Gwan Yin, Kuan Yin.
**Also known as Kuan Yin, Quan'Am (Vietnam), Kannon (Japan), and Kanin (Bali), Avalokiteswara**


Quan Yin, as a true Enlightened One, or Bodhisattva, vowed to remain in the earthly realms and not enter the heavenly worlds until all other living things have completed their own enlightenment and thus become liberated from the pain-filled cycle of birth, death, and rebirth.
