As the 5th grade looks toward graduation - they helped create an extraordinary piece of art.

Each student, along with their teachers and Mr. Fawcett & Mrs. Ecoff, were asked to think of a word that represents a wish for their own future and that of their friends.  Some words were poignant, some were amusing - but all were remarkable in the way they captured the spirit of this great group of kids.

They wrote their word on special dichroic (color shifting) glass.  Their wish was etched into the glass which was then combined and fused in a kiln to form a graceful 16" square bowl. 

Everyone signed their name in gold on the underside of the bowl where the year and grade are also recorded.

What a stunning and meaningful way to remember their last year of elementary!
