The Advanced Math and Science Academy Charter School (AMSA) was created in 2004 with a mission “to create a learning environment that celebrates knowledge, where children of all backgrounds and abilities excel in all subjects, especially math, science, and technology, enabling them to succeed in the workplace of a modern high-tech world”. The Advanced Math and Science Academy Charter School currently serves grades six through eleven and will grow to include the twelfth grade when it is fully realized in the Fall of 2010. The school is tuition-free and exam-free; all students are accepted and selected at random by lottery. This academic year, we have 800 students attending AMSA from 60 different districts in Massachusetts. Despite our short history, the Advanced Math and Science Academy Charter School has already demonstrated tremendous academic success for all of its students!
