2010 JCCCNC Spring Auction
Start bidding and help support the Japanese Cultural and Community Center of Northern California's Spring Online Fundraising Auction.
As part of the fundraising efforts for this year, the JCCCNC will be hosting this online auction that will end on Sunday, May 2 at 5:00 p.m. Pacific Time. Bid often and bid high, as these items will all close online. There will be no carry over for this Spring Auction.
Auction items range from beautiful ceramic wares, restaurant gift certificates, great travel getaways and Japanese decorative items to very unique experiences like a special Ozumo Sake Tasting for 25 - You and 24 guests will be welcomed to experience a truly once-in-a-lifetime sake tasting experience at the elegant Ozumo Restaurant in either San Francisco or Oakland. Boasting the largest sake selection in the Bay Area, you will be able to sample different types of premiere sake while a sake sommelier will explain the essentials (region, water and type of rice), all while indulging on delicious hors d’oeuvres prepared by seasoned Ozumo chefs.

Proceeds from this auction go to the Japanese Cultural and Community Center of Northern California (JCCCNC) in its effort to provide cultural and educational programs for children and youth, like our Kodomo no Hi (Children's Day) Festival and School Visits, Nikkei Youth Cultural Heritage Program and our Annual Halloween Carnival. It also helps support creative programming like the recent event Jero in Concert and the California Nisei College Diploma Project, which is helping to recognize Nisei who were forced to leave their post-secondary education because of Executive Order 9066.
Please be advised that some opening bids may be higher than expected, as some items had previous bids from our Cherry Blossom Festival Preview Auction.
Friday, May 14 - Pre-game Sake Tasting and Exclusive S.F. Giants Sake Masu and Glass
Join other JCCCNC Members and Friends for a night of Sake, Baseball and FUN as the Giants host the first of two Japanese Heritage Nights in 2010. Your Japanese Heritage Night tickets entitles you to a LIMITED EDITION Giants Sake Glass and Masu, admission to the pre-game festivities and sake tastings, a seat in the JCCCNC Upper Reserve section and if you get there in time (first 20,000) you'll receive a Giants Rally Scarf. Game time 7:15 p.m.
Suggestion - Get there early (5:15 p.m.), go into the stadium and get your rally scarf first, get your hand stamped, go to the pre-game sake tasting. After you've warmed up with sake then go to your seat and cheer on the Giants as they take on Kaz Matsui and the Houston Astros!
