Description

2006 Silver Palm Cabernet Sauvignon North Coast Double Magnum

Silver Palm Cabernet Sauvignon is hand crafted by veteran winemaker Melissa Bates, who boasts over 20 years' experience at leading Napa and Sonoma County wineries, including Rutherford Hill and Sebastiani. The wine is produced exclusively from grapes grown in California's renowned, cool-climate North Coast American Viticultural Area, with the majority of the fruit coming from select vineyards in Napa and Sonoma counties.

Bates leverages her longstanding relationships with leading North Coast grape growers to source small lots of fruit from the finest Cabernet Sauvignon vineyards, then uses traditional and cutting-edge artisan winemaking techniques to fashion a luxurious, ready-to-drink Cabernet Sauvignon. Silver Palm's displays a dark, saturated color, lavish black currant, dried cherry, sage and peppercorn aromas, and sumptuous, dark fruit flavors with notes of chocolate, espresso and creamy vanilla from extended oak aging in French and American oak barrels.

The superior quality of Silver Palm Cabernet Sauvignon is matched by its stunning package, which makes a dramatic impression on the table. It was designed, says White Rocket Vice President of Marketing Mark Feinberg, "to generate intrigue on-premise by instantly conveying superior quality, exceeding customer expectations and capturing the attention of diners at nearby tables." The package features a tall, heavy, antique green bottle, with deep punt, which feels wonderfully luxurious in the hand; an elegant, silk-screened label, with platinum detailing, that depicts palm fronds rising from a slender "trunk" comprised of the vertically aligned Silver Palm brand name; and a premium natural cork, dressed in a shiny silver capsule, that evokes the elegance and romantic ritual diners associate with special wines.
