West Side YMCA Holiday Give and Give Back Auction
The 2010 West Side YMCA Teen Center Holiday Give and Give Back Auction is now open. The auction will run from November 25, 2010 to December 10, 2010. Proceeds go to the West Side YMCA in order to support the West Side YMCA Teen Center.
Auction items range from fabulous get-aways, amazing sports and event tickets to unique experiences that are impossible to find!

And let the bidding begin!The West Side YMCA offers an extensive array of life-shaping experiences with a full array of health and wellness, community arts, guest accommodations, and youth and family programs -- from swimming and gymnastics to acting and writing. As an institution deeply involved in the life of its community, the West Side YMCA's youth and family programs offer youngsters developmental opportunities from childhood through late adolescence, both at its facility and outside of it, with an emphasis on the after-school hours.
The West Side YMCA offers young New Yorkers a safe haven from harsh urban streets and provides a wide range of educational, recreational and health and wellness programs for youth and families. These programs include leadership training and development; service learning; counseling and health awareness; life/social skills; mentoring; computer training; college preparation; evening teen centers; and health and wellness programs. The West Side YMCA currently serves 10,000 youth in its off-site locations and at 5 West 63rd Street.
College Preparatory and Admissions Help including: SAT prep courses, college application and essay coaching, homework help to keep GPAs high, and a pre-teen introduction to the idea of college.
Leadership Training The West Side Y offers several leadership programs that enable teens to build critical self-esteem and advocacy skills that will serve them later in life.
Safe Haven for those who have no one at home in those lonesome, and trouble prone after-school hours. We provide a safe, fun and academically supportive environment.
Teen Library and Computer Center This brand new library gives young people access to hundreds of life-enriching books and facilitates basic computer skills to help them succeed in life.
