ArtBeat 15 culminates with a live gala event held on Friday, October 21, 2011 at The Providence Biltmore Hotel. Guests are welcome to peruse our selection of art work for the silent auction, and preview the items in our live auction. The silent auction begins at 6:30 pm, and then at 8:00pm we kick-off the live auction! This year’s celebrity auctioneers are Kim Zandy from 92 PROFM and Miss Kitty Litter!
ArtBeat is such a successful fundraiser year after year because it brings together people from both the arts and corporate communities who share a common goal of supporting the mission and work of AIDS Care Ocean State.

John has been a hug supporter of AIDS Care Ocean State for over 15 years. John graduated with a M.F.A from the University of Massachusetts and with a B.F.A. from the Rhode Island School of design
John says working in clay and gardening are not too dissimilar. Both involve the earth and creating. When I am in the garden, I am aware of myriad factors that are impressing themselves onto my senses. When I am in the studio, very similar factors are available to me.
