About the artist:

Where do I begin? I am a Photographer, an Experiential Educator, Horse Trainer and most importantly a Mom.  My husband and I have run Summer Camp Programs as well as Leadership
Programs for kids at our Ranch in NH for over ten years.  We moved to RI about 3 years ago.

What do I Photograph?
Life.  Travel.  My favorite quote is “Courage is the power to
let go of the familiar”.  I use my photos to give people another look at life.

The last project I did was in Honduras.  I traveled to Honduras in Feb and July of 2011.  I lived in a small village by the name if Guachipilincito – in the Intibuca Region.  I went with an organization known as Shoulder to Shoulder, as a
photographer, to document the opening of their newest medical clinic.  The people of Guachi live simply, about a dollar a day.  My experience, in this particular village as well as neighboring villages, revealed that family ties, personal pride, and community bonds overcame any sense of relative deprivation.  Their sense of community is astounding.  Their strength and will is incredible and their smiles are unforgettable.
