The New Meadows River Cottages were built in 1948 by Samuel Armstrong and have been owned and operated by three generations of the Armstrong family since then. Today we have upgraded our facilities to accommodate the modern traveler with high speed internet service, satellite TV, and air conditioning but we still retain the charm and hospitality of that earlier era.

Situated between Brunswick and Bath in Maine's midcoast region, we are within easy access of many local attractions. The New Meadows River provides twelve miles of protected waters perfect for canoe or kayak. Look for osprey, great blue heron and bald eagles. Bring your boat or rent one for the day at the marina and enjoy excellent fishing for striped bass or blue fish. Beautiful sandy beaches are twenty minutes away; tee up at the Bath Country Club; shop at nearby LLBean and outlet stores in Freeport or explore the many local antique shops; learn about shipbuilding past and present at the Maine Maritime Museum in Bath; and of course, plan on a delicious lobster dinner at the end of the day!
