Description
The canoe is made of white/red cedar, ash stems at either end, and mahogany outwales. The red cedar planking offers a really beautiful
contrast to the white cedar ribs.
The canoe was fully rebuilt from the bow and stern to the seats to the traditional green paint by the Greenmont Farm's Canoe Project. The project is fully accredited by the State of Vermont as a vocational program where students receive high school credit. The Canoe Project is a special education vocational program for high school students who are trying to find their way. Students work alongside teachers and experienced canoe builders to restore canoes with care and professional craftsmanship.
All profits from the sale of restored canoes are administered by the
project to directly benefit student need. For more information please
