A Few More Words

From our Guestbook

My husband was diagnosed in 1994 with male breast cancer. He had previously been told his lump was just a cyst - we certainly weren't thinking cancer. He had several recurrences and lots of treatment it had spread to his peritoneum - also rare. He has just passed, but certainly not without giving it a good fight. -- Joanne

My Dad was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in 2004. He found the lump while in the shower. He went on to have a mastectomy, followed by Chemo. This seemd to work. Then it was discovered in 2007 that he had Bone Cancer in his spine and hip. Less than a year later he was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer. He passed away while in hospice (he didn't want to die at home) aged 50 on 12/12/2009. -- Deanna

Edward Wilson a past member of the Board of Directors passed away last week at the age of 59 after battling breast cancer for 12 years. R.I.P.

Also, our good friend Will Gallagher passed away  (3/4/12) at the age of 42 from breast cancer. He was battling breast cancer for the second time. Will leaves behind his wife and two young children. His physicians missed his breast cancer both times, and early detection could have saved his life. He will be missed by many.

Please help us spread the word that "Men Get Breast Cancer Too."
