Founded in 1999, Cat Haven has rescued and found homes for over 7,000 cats and kittens! Each year, we lovingly care for over 700 kitties in our one-of-a-kind Adoption Center. Each one is vaccinated, tested for feline leukemia and FIV, spayed or neutered and microchipped before being placed for adoption.
Cat Haven also coordinates LSU Spay Day in partnership with the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine. This is a large-scale low-cost spay/neuter effort for the community that “fixes” over 1000 cats and kittens each year and is offered to those who are caring for stray/feral “community cats” or those who qualify under low-income guidelines.
Cat Haven relies primarily on individual membership, donations and volunteer fundraising efforts to sustain its programs. Our largest fundraiser each year includes a silent auction and is open until November 15th. DON'T MISS OUT!
PREMIER PAWTY SUCCESS!
On November 1st, we hosted a PREMIERE PAWTY at our Adoption Center at 11130 N. Harrell's Ferry Road in Baton Rouge to kick off the auction. Our guests enjoyed dinner, wine, music, and a preview of our awesome auction items. Thanks to all our supporters for helping us make the Premier Pawty a success!
