Description

Wordsworth’s classic 1888 poem “The Prelude,” otherwise known as “The Growth of a Poet’s Mind” was explicitly addressed to Samuel Taylor Coleridge when the latter was in poor health, and is thought by many to be a response to Coleridge’s grand question to his dear friend: “Why do we write?” The final lines of Wordsworth’s great epic contain the following gem:

What we have loved,

Others will love, and we will teach them how.

Accordingly, this piece is entitled “As others will love.”

Description: This unique piece was created by the students of the Brown Center with the support of Art Therapist, Terri Giller, and BCA classroom teacher, Ms. Heidi Snow.
