Let the Bidding Begin at MLA 2014 Party with a Purpose!
The MLA 2014 Party with a Purpose is a project for the Annual Meeting and is two events.??A The first is a Silent Auction that will be held from Saturday, May 17 at 5:30 pm with the opening of the exhibits and two closing times.??A While all items will be on display starting May 17 some items will close at 10:30 am on Monday, May 19.??A The remaining items will close Tuesday, May 20 at 10:30 am.??A So even if you are leaving early you can still find a great item to take home.??A Winning bidders will need to pick up their items starting after 10:30 am on the appropriate day unless the item is being shipped after the meeting directly to their house.??A The highlight of this new project is the Live Auction highlighting five awesome donations. ??A Clinton M. (Marty) Thompson, Jr., AHIP our talented auctioneer will lead the bidding starting around 8:10 pm.??A Live Auction items are designated in the description of the items and will randomly be featured on this page. ??A Proceeds will benefit the MLA Scholarship Fund, Section Project of the Year award, and the Chicago adult literacy organization Literacy Works.
