Handmade Rustic Cedar Rocking Chair

Item Number: 209
Time Left: CLOSED

Description
This one-of-a-kind rocking chair was handcrafted by Rev. Clay Farr of the DeKalb Circuit in the Meridian District with the help of his sons Mickey and Travis. Using reclaimed cedar to make the chairs, Bro. Clay states that he tries to do with the wood what God did for him; take a mess that's not good for anything but firewood and make it useful.
While Bro. Clay puts several coats of wax on each of the chairs he makes, he does not coat them with polyurethane. If kept out of the sun, the shine will last a long time. If kept in the sun or weather, it will need waxing occasionally to help slow down the natural browning of the wood.
