This Chanukia is wheel-thrown and hand-stamped in porcelain clay, dated 5774 and signed ״שש״ (artist's Hebrew initials). It was inspired by the antique Armenian chanukiot the artist saw with her family in Jaffa, Israel, and by the folk art designs of her Hungarian grandmother.  In homage to its source, Vicky makes each piece with a little bit of Israel (sand and salt) hidden inside. Sometimes you can hear it rattling around in there.
