ABOUT FRIENDS OF ANIMALS OF UTAH

Friends of Animals Utah (“FOAU”) is a private, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that has found homes for over 12,000 pets.  Our retail adoption center is called "Furburbia" and is located in the Tanger Outlet Mall in Park City, Utah.

Each week, FOAU’s staff visits animal shelters throughout Utah and rescues healthy adoptable dogs and cats, many from these shelters’ euthanasia lists.

FOAU then spays/neuters, chips, and vaccinates these animals. These rescue animals are then transported daily from the FOAU Rescue & Rehabilitation Ranch facility to Furburbia. At the Ranch, we provide a temporary, loving home for dogs and cats that no longer have a family of their own.

The animals in our program have ended up with us for a variety of reasons, ranging from abandonment, to rescue from an abusive situation, to owner surrender because they no longer can, or want to take care of them.  Our animals are loving, family pets who are desperately awaiting for their forever homes.

FOAU was founded in 1990 by a group of generous volunteers determined to find homes for animals in need.  Over the decades, our objective has remained the same:  to place animals into permanent, caring homes and advance the humane treatment of animals through education.
