2013 Su Yuen Coppola Winery Riesling


Our Riesling, and this year’s small amount of Chardonnay added, are grown in the cool climate of Monterey County where chilly temperatures in the evening help the fruit retain an ideal measure of crisp, natural acidity for a balanced palate. The fruit is harvested, placed into stainless steel tanks, and the grapes are fermented to an off-dry level so the wine has just a touch of sweetness to pair with spicy foods.


2013 was an excellent vintage across California. There was very little rain that year and temperatures never got excessively warm for any period of time. These dry conditions produced intensely flavored fruit. Our Riesling is well balanced with a lush texture offering a gorgeous perfume of peaches, pineapple, tangerine and flowers along with juicy flavors of passion fruit, lime and minerals. Just the right amount of natural acidity offsets this vintage’s luscious fruit.


2013 Su Yuen Coppola Winery Red



A unique Merlot-Syrah blend, crafted in a style to accentuate spice notes and bight fruit quality.  Virtually no tannins make this wine fantastic with food, especially with anything off the grill.


The fruit selections we grow for Su Yuen produce a medium-bodied red wine that has rich fruit character, intriguing hints of spice, and very little tannin because we minimize the amount of oak used during the maturation process. These qualities create a wine that works well with a variety of different cuisines. Discover rich flavors of plum and cherries along with clove, peppery spice notes and a smoky finish.
