Hi, I'm TJ and I actually have FIV, but years ago I was tested and the rescue said I had Feline Leukemia. They sent me to Rustic Hollow and I've lived with all of the FeLV+ cats in The Kat Barn. I sleep with them, eat by them, use the same litter boxes.. this year Keisha tested me and discovered I was NOT Feline Leukemia postive, but FIV+ instead. And, I have never been sick all those years. So I guess FeLV is not as easy to spread to other cats as once believed. Carmen says years ago no one tested twice to be absolutely sure we actually had FeLV, so I am one of the lucky ones that got to live out  my life here at R.H.  I still live with  my FeLV buds, cause we're a family.
