Starting on January 25, 2017, Freeport Community Services will be auctioning off a number of fun and unique items to bid on to raise money for our organization.  This is our first year with an online auction as a part of our annual White Nights gala celebration in Freeport with the goal of "Keeping the Light On all year long."  We welcome and appreciate your support. 

All proceeds to go FCS programs.

Welcome to Freeport Community Services!

FCS began in the 70s as a group of neighbors helping neighbors, in a room above a volunteer's garage. As our communities have grown, we have too. Today we help gather resources and organize services for Freeport and Pownal, Maine. We believe in "neighbor helping neighbor." 

What We Do

Freeport Community Services is a community-run, community-based organization that coordinates programs and supplies a handful of direct services to our neighbors in the towns of Freeport and Pownal, Maine. Services include a Food Pantry with essential and emergency supplies for our neighbors who need it.  

FCS offers many essential services, including food, heat & gas, clothing, medical equipment, and transportation to our communities. Freeport and Pownal families in need may contact FCS for Thanksgiving and Christmas food and/or gifts. Holiday gifts, Thanksgiving Dinner and holiday food boxes.  Summer Camp Scholarships help local children have a summer experience at camps in Maine. Scholarships are awarded based on need and availability.

Freeport Community Center is a large, clean, well-lit building that houses The Thrift Shop, Food Pantry, a meeting room with a kitchen, coffee bar, lobby with seating, and office spaces
