2017 Fall Online Auction!

Friends of LACES is pleased to present its Third Annual Fall Online Auction, kicking off on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. and open through Monday, November 27, 2017 at 10:00 p.m. We are grateful to the businesses and individuals who have so generously supported our auction with their donations.

Come and visit our auction and support the Los Angeles Center for Enriched Studies. LACES is a middle and high school magnet in the Los Angeles Unified School District celebrating its 40th anniversary. We are a National Blue Ribbon School and California Distinguished School, and have consistently been included in Newsweek's Top 100 High Schools in America and US News and World Report's listing of Gold Medal High Schools.

Friends of LACES annually raises funds to support positive educational outcomes for all LACES students. Our objective is to provide LACES students with the opportunity to achieve to their fullest potential in a stimulating environment through the cooperative interaction of administrators, teachers, parents, and the community.

The Fine Print

1. All sales are final and there will be no exchanges, refunds, transfers or substitutions, except where specified. All items are sold “as is.” FRIENDS OF LACES, its agents and volunteers make no representations of any kind, warranties, express or implied, with respect to items or services sold. It is the Auction Committee’s intent to accurately describe all Auction items with information provided by the Auction’s donors. The Auction Committee of FRIENDS OF LACES is not responsible for the correct description or authenticity of any item. Please read specifications and limitations carefully.

2. Many auction items have specific conditions such as time limits and availability. The winner is responsible for contacting the donor for all items and services and to arrange any extensions or changes.

3. Dates for vacations, travel items and services are subject to mutual availability and agreement of donor and winner, in some cases. The winner should contact the donor as soon as possible after the auction to make arrangements.

4. Shipping is not included in the purchase price. Items not picked up from LACES Magnet School on the designated date will be shipped USPS Priority Mail to the winner's registered address at a cost of $7.50 per winner, charged separately to the winner's registered credit card. Please allow 10-14 days from the Auction's close for shipping.

5. FRIENDS OF LACES is a registered IRS Tax-Exempt 501(c)(3) organization (ID #93-1090541). No tax deduction is allowable except to the extent the winner's payment exceeds the fair demonstrable market retail price of the item or service purchased through the Auction. Please contact your tax advisor with questions.

6. All gift certificates are non-refundable and have no redeemable cash value.
7. By his or her purchase, the winner waives any claims for liability against either FRIENDS OF LACES or the donor of property or services. Neither FRIENDS OF LACES, its agents or volunteers nor the donor are responsible for any personal injuries or damages that may result from the utilization of property or services sold.

8. In the event of a dispute or unsuccessful bid closure, FRIENDS OF LACES shall have sole and final discretion to determine the successful bidder or to re-offer the item in dispute.

9. Items will be available for pick up at LACES Magnet School on Friday, December 1, 2017 during the hours of 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. from the Parent Center; 9:30 to 2:30 p.m. from the Attendance Office; and 2:30 to 4:00 p.m. from the Parent Center. All remaining items will be mailed via USPS Priority Mail, which includes insurance and tracking, for a flat rate of $7.50 per address charged to the winner's registered credit card. Please allow 10-14 days from the Auction's close for shipping.
