Description

Four (4) recordings of organs in Indiana by Dr. David K. Lamb, AGO Councillor for Membership. Featured organs are in: 1) Franklin, the historic Steere Organ installed just as the Skinner Organ Company took over the operations of Steere. The organ was beautifully restored in the late 1980's by Goulding and Wood of Indianapolis; 2) Columbus, the 1952 Moeller Organ installed in the First United Methodist Church featuring several collaborative performances with local instrumentalists and soloists; 3) New Albany, the 1886 Barkoff organ at St. Mary's RC Church, restored by the Miller Pipe Organ Co. in 1986, and 4) Indianapolis, the historic Sanborn Organ in the Indiana Landmarks Center (formerly the Central Avenue United Methodist Church). The organ was beautifully restored by Goulding and Wood when the Indiana Landmarks Center took over the historic building.
