Melanie Gaunt is one of the original residents of Ivany Place. She started painting in the last three years. Although she grew up left-handed, MS forces her to paint with her right hand.

She has recently been trying local landscapes and finds Peggy's Cove to be the most challenging painting to do. She is the co-founder of an advocacy group, Empowered, for a better quality of life for persons with disabilities.

And, if you are not limited by time, she will paint something upon request!
