Discover Nut Cheese - a deliciously healthy alternative to dairy cheese - with two wonderful friends - Vivienne Aronowitz, Waimea dietician and plant-based food advocate, and Daniela Penitenti, a cheese maker and food experimenter who learned to love cheese in her native Italy. 

This workshop will include a step-by-step demonstration of how to make creamy rich cheeses from naturally low in saturated fat, cholesterol-free and lower sodium nuts.  Will also include several aged nut cheeses.  Then enjoy a sampling of these mouthsful of joy and leave with recipes to make your own at home. 

Workshop will run about 2 hours on Sat., Jan. 15, 2022 (or a mutually agreed upon Saturday) in WMS STEAM Learning Center Demonstration Lab, which has excellent ventillation.  

Pandemic safety protocols on the school campus include all guests sharing proof of being vaccinated or a negative Covid test within the past 72 hours, plus wearing a mask (except when tasting the nut cheeses)- unless or until these are no longer required by the HIDOE.   

Bidding begins at $400 for a bubble of up to 8 guests though group may grow up to 15 if County Covid guidelines permit.  Bid donation would be increased on a pro-rata basis.
