Description

Mokulele Airlines was founded in 1994 by Rebecca Kawehi Inaba to provide circle-island and air tours that shared the beauty of Hawaii Volcanoes National Park and Maui with passengers.  In 2019, after six ownership changes, Southern Airways Express, a commuter airline based in Florida, purchased Mokulele Airlines and the combination makes up one of the largest and fastest-growing airlines in America.

Mokulele Is Hawaii’s Favorite Island Hopper

In Hawaiian the word Moku means island and Lele means to leap or hop. Since there was not a word for airline in the Hawaiian language, when the first plane was introduced in the islands, native Hawaiians created the word Mokulele.

So…the name has two meanings 1. Airline 2. Island Hopper.  The airline is proud of its heritage and it’s their mission to provide Hawaii’s smallest communities with flight services including Waimea, Hana, Kapalua, Kalealoa and Kalaupapa.

This travel credit will cover flights for two from Waimea to most if not all of the smaller communities served by Mokulele across the state.
