The Silver Unicorn Bookstore was founded and is owned by Paul Swydan. Formerly and always a sportswriter, Paul wrote for FanGraphs and Boston.com just before opening the store, and has written for a variety of outlets, including The Boston Globe, ESPN the Magazine, Pitchfork and Baseball Prospectus.

Silver Unicorn Bookstore is small but mighty. If all the store offered was a carefully curated selection of Fiction, Non-Fiction, Children's and Young Adult titles, it would have been enough. But Silver Unicorn is so much more.  Every month is filled with live and virtual events..book signings, talks and launches, childrens story hours, and events focused on local authors. Silver Unicorn, Acton's only bookstore, is there to help schools with reading programs and bookfairs. But there's more. Silver Unicorn also offers non-book items. Newly renovated space stocks puzzles, cards, games, candles, chocolate, art supplies, journals, and much more.
