The Auction is an annual event where all proceeds benefit the Public Interest Summer Grant Program. This grant program places law students in volunteer positions during the summer, which without the support of these funds, the students would have worked for free. The students that participate gain invaluable experience while enriching the community through their services. The Public Interest Summer Grant Program offers students the unique opportunity to dedicate themselves to public interest endeavors full-time during the summer months.
Six years ago, Phi Delta Phi was challenged to revitalize this event, and we have succeeded with the help of businesses like yours. Since that time, we have been able to give over 100 students the opportunity to give back to various public interest organizations in the state and region. Students have been enabled to work at low-income taxpayer clinics at the Charlotte Center for Legal Advocacy, the South Carolina Commission on Indigent Defense, the Public Defender’s Office, and many other meaningful opportunities.
We look forward to seeing you at the Annual Auction and we greatly appreciate your support!
