Description
Four hours of Dungeons & Dragons (4-8 people; virtual event).
Law school, you may have heard, is an adventure. That may be true, but are you ready to leave the casebooks behind and go on a real* adventure? Now you can, with a four-hour session of Dungeons & Dragons (5e) hosted by long-time gamer and uber-nerd Prof. Seth Stoughton! Prof. Stoughton will arrange and host a virtual session, including providing all relevant gaming materials, for 4-8 students. Participants will take on classic fantasy roles—an intrepid warrior or a learned mage, a disciplined monk or a devout cleric—as the characters make their way through a custom-built adventure. Available scenarios include a classic dungeon crawl, a swashbuckling pirate encounter, a murder mystery, or a heist. Win the admiration of an untold number of imaginary people as you wield sword and sorcery to triumph over the forces of evil**! No prior experience necessary, internet access required.
* By “real,” I mean imaginary. There is no guarantee of any kind, express or implied, that the adventure will be “real.” In fact, it will be unreal. As in, unbelievably amazing!!***
** In this context, “the forces of evil” include anything that actively obstructs you, passively opposes you, or simply fails to assist you quickly enough, including non-player characters, monsters, and inconveniently located imaginary walls or furniture.
*** There is no guarantee of any kind, express or implied, that the adventure will be either unbelievable or amazing.
