A Benefit Auction to Support Humanitarian Assistance for Ukraine
Reflections on "Pierrot Lunaire"
Collage/Paintings by Preston Trombly
Inspired by Arnold Schoenberg's Op. 21, "Pierrot Lunaire," artist Preston Trombly has created 21 unique collage/paintings reflecting the 21 sections of "Pierrot." Taken together, these 21 pieces are variations on similar shapes, colors and collage materials as Schoenberg's 21 pieces are variations on similar note groups, instrumental sounds and vocal texts.
The Ukrainian Institute of America (UIA) is pleased to present these pieces at auction and is extremely grateful to Preston Trombly for his generous donation of these artworks for the purpose of raising funds for humanitarian relief efforts through the UIA's "Help Ukraine" fund.
This auction is online until January 28, 2024 at 3PM EST. Subsequently, bidding will continue live, at the UIA, in conjunction with the Music at the Institute concert beginning at 4pm, where "Pierrot Lunaire" will be performed.
A reception and Silent Auction will follow the concert. Details HERE.
Don't miss the opportunity to own a one-of-a-kind piece of art and to help Ukraine at the same time!
