To keep the light of generosity alive beyond Giving Tuesday, The Chrysalis Vision is proud to announce a new partnership with the Chinese Martial Arts Center in Seminole, FL. Led by Shifu Dan Schmidt, a 5th Degree Black Belt and International Kung Fu Champion, this collaboration brings cultural richness, discipline, and empowerment into our fundraising journey.

The Chrysalis Vision’s Lumos Campaign is proud to shine a light on a remarkable family in our community.

 Melissa Ledbetter, an amazing single mother, is raising four daughters—ages 13, 10, 8, and 5—on her own. Despite her strength and determination, financial struggles make it impossible for her to afford extracurricular activities for her girls.

 That’s where The Chrysalis Vision's Lumos: Light the Way for Change Auction steps in. Through our partnership with Full Circle Martial Arts, we are launching a scholarship fund to ensure Melissa’s daughters can join classes that build confidence, discipline, and resilience.

 Melissa shares:

"As a single mom of four amazing daughters, I’m doing everything I can just to keep us afloat. There’s no way I could afford extracurricular activities for them without this help. These scholarships mean my girls can step into something positive, build confidence, and feel part of a community. It’s a chance for them to shine, and I’m so grateful."

 âœ¨ Our goal is to raise $8,000 to fully fund scholarships for the Ledbetter family. Every donation brings Melissa’s daughters closer to a brighter future, one filled with strength, balance, and hope.
