For 22 years, the Hoboken Cove Community Boathouse—a 100% volunteer-run, 501(c)(3) nonprofit—has brought thousands of people of all ages down to the water. We offer free kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding, and outrigger canoeing, both in our protected cove at Maxwell Place Park and beyond to adventures on the Hudson.
Our mission is simple but powerful: to provide free access to local waterways and reconnect our community with nature, all while being run by passionate volunteers.
Why Your Support Matters
4,000+ Paddlers Annually: With your donation, we can continue offering free paddle days, introducing new people to the river, and keeping our programs running strong.
Community-Led & Volunteer-Driven: Every instructor, guide, and organizer at HCCB gives their time freely.
Environmental Stewardship: We host litter pick-ups on the Hudson River in partnership with Planet Patrol—helping to keep our beach clean for everyone.
