Vicki Kocher Paret's formal training includes a BFA from VA Commonwealth University and an MAT from Tufts University. Represented by Galatea Fine Arts in SoWA Boston, her paintings are in numerous corporate and private collections, including Fidelity Investments, and Wellington Management. She served as Art Dept. Chair, Waring School, and instructor at DeCordova Museum, MFA Boston, Cambridge Center for Adult Education, and currently at the Arlington Center for the Arts and Eliot School.
"Fishpond #2" was part of an exhibition called Water's Edge. The intent of the series is to convey a sense of place, and the beauty and calm the natural world engenders. Fluid water juxtaposes with the tangled natural elements at water's edge. To create this space out of marks and make sense of the chaos is the artist's meditation.
