Joni Lohr, an award-winning Boston photographer, focuses on street, architectural, performance, and abandonment photography. She is active in several arts organizations including the Boston Camera Club, Cambridge Art Association, and Photographic Resource Center. She has exhibited her work throughout the greater Boston metropolitan area including the Menino Art Center, the Beacon Gallery, Galatea Fine Art Gallery, Bromfield Gallery, Plymouth Center for the Arts, and the AAM.
"La Campagne Française," captures the timeless quiet of the French countryside. Bathed in soft, diffused light, the scene evokes a sense of stillness and memory. Lohr was drawn to the layered textures of stone, tile, and landscape, and the harmony between human presence and nature. The gently draped laundry, echoing the tall trees beyond, whispers of daily life preserved in ritual. This image is a meditation on solitude, continuity, and the enduring grace of rural France.
