Lesley Makris, a.k.a. Dizzy Lizard Designs, believes that all of the objects we use and encounter in daily life have the potential to be beautiful, meaningful, and enjoyable. Her work spans many mediums and styles. She takes great pleasure in using her skills to combine seemingly disparate elements to create something exciting, unexpected and fun!
"West Island" comes from a beloved seaside cottage where family would gather every summer to play in the sun and salt water. The goal was to capture that playful essence in a functional piece that would help start each day with a smile.The dresser has 2 drawers and matching mirror (furniture is in two pieces). This unique combo is hand-painted in shades of purple, green, yellow, and fuchsia, with gold accents, using acrylic paints and glazes and a variety of layering techniques.

Final bidding will take place in-person during the LIVE AUCTION event on Saturday, November 1st. If you're unable to attend the live auction, you can leave a "high bid" amount online (no later than October 29th, 5pm EST) and the auctioneer will represent your bid during the live event.

Special Instructions
A note on bidding: Any high bid that does not follow the listed bidding increments will be nullified and voided.
The Bidding Increments are as follows:
$1-99, the bidding increment is $5
$100-199, the bidding increment is $10
$200-499, the bidding increment is $20
$500-999, the bidding increment is $50
$1000 and up, the bidding increment is $100
Items can be picked up at the Attleboro Arts Museum from November 6th – 8th, 2025. The Museum is open Tuesday - Saturday from 10am-5pm. In-person pickup is preferred. If an item is to be shipped, the winning bidder is responsible for all shipping arrangements and handling costs. After arrangements have been made, items will be shipped no later than November 14th. Winners of specialty items that do not require pickup will be contacted with details by November 7th. The artist retains all reproduction and copyrights.
