Colleen Vandeventer attended the SMFA in Boston, and currently has a studio in Pawtucket, RI where she works and teaches. She is an exhibiting member of the Providence Art Club and the Cape Cod Art Center, and works in both oil and pastel.
"The Cottage by the Sea" was created while traveling in Ireland on a painting trip in the Ring of Kerry. It was late afternoon and the shadows were lengthening and the sun was low in the sky which provided beautiful light and inspiration for this painting.
Online bidding for this item CLOSES WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 29th, AT 5PM.
Final bidding will take place in-person during the LIVE AUCTION event on Saturday, November 1st. If you're unable to attend the live auction, you can leave a "high bid" amount online (no later than October 29th, 5pm EST) and the auctioneer will represent your bid during the live event.

Special Instructions
A note on bidding: Any high bid that does not follow the listed bidding increments will be nullified and voided.
The Bidding Increments are as follows:
$1-99, the bidding increment is $5
$100-199, the bidding increment is $10
$200-499, the bidding increment is $20
$500-999, the bidding increment is $50
$1000 and up, the bidding increment is $100
Items can be picked up at the Attleboro Arts Museum from November 6th – 8th, 2025. The Museum is open Tuesday - Saturday from 10am-5pm. In-person pickup is preferred. If an item is to be shipped, the winning bidder is responsible for all shipping arrangements and handling costs. After arrangements have been made, items will be shipped no later than November 14th. Winners of specialty items that do not require pickup will be contacted with details by November 7th. The artist retains all reproduction and copyrights.
